This wonderful trip takes us along the Thames Valley to Reading, where we head south through Hampshire. We pass the historic city of Winchester and follow the River Itchen to Eastleigh before heading along the south coast with views of the Solent on our way to Chichester.
Once we reach Chichester, passengers have the option to explore the city at their leisure or join one of two optional excursions:
The only historic race meeting to be staged entirely in period dress, the Revival sees a return to the halcyon days of Goodwood as the spiritual home of British motor racing. It's a celebration of bygone days, vintage fashion and wheel-to-wheel racing around this classic circuit, which remains unchanged since its heyday.
Choose from an entry ticket, which includes a transfer directly to the racecourse, or splash out on a Roving Grandstand Ticket, which allows access to multiple grandstands around the circuit so you can get the perfect view and the option to sit under cover. A souvenir programme for the event is also included.
There are nearly 1,000 years of history at this great castle, situated in magnificent grounds overlooking the River Arun in West Sussex. Book a ticket for this excursion for full access to the House, Bedrooms, Keep and gardens. As you wander around the Castle at your leisure learn from the friendly guides about the finely preserved interior with its fascinating furniture, tapestries and rare collection of paintings by renowned artists. Stroll through the tranquil grounds where you will discover the inspiring gardens. Passengers will be transfered to and from Arundel Castle from Chichester station by private road coach.
